🎭🌟 Exciting News from the Thomasville City School Drama Team! 🌟🎭
Thomasville High School is honored to be one of only twelve schools nationwide selected for the “SUFFS: The Young Are at the Gates” Grant!
This grant provides our drama program with a free license to perform Shaina Taub’s TONY Award-winning musical, Suffs—made possible through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International and in partnership with the Educational Theatre Association.
When the grant opened, Shaina Taub shared her dream:
“My number one dream for Suffs has always been for it to be performed in schools across the country. I hope young performers find empowerment and inspiration in getting to tell this story themselves… Everyone gets to be a suff, and I can’t wait to cheer these casts on.” 💬✨
We are incredibly grateful to Shaina Taub, MTI, and EdTA for this amazing opportunity. Our Bulldogs can’t wait to bring this powerful story to the stage! ❤️💛

On this Patriot Day, we are reminded of the courage and sacrifice shown by first responders on September 11, 2001, and every day since.
A couple of weeks ago, our 6th grade Career Awareness students at MacIntyre Park Middle had the privilege of learning from the Thomasville City and Thomas County Lady Firefighters! 👩🚒🔥 They shared the rewards of pursuing a nontraditional career path and encouraged our students to think big about their future opportunities.
Today especially, we honor the bravery of firefighters and all first responders who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. 💙

Mrs. Russo’s AP Biology class got creative with an Organelle Speed Dating activity! Students stepped into the shoes of organelles—posing for “cellfies,” sharing their key functions, and even confessing their "bad traits" (what happens when they malfunction ).
This fun twist gave our AP Biology students a whole new way to connect with the inner workings of the cell and deepen their understanding of biology.🔬💡
