Our Pre-K students from Harper Elementary and Scott Elementary recently kicked off their swimming lessons—and had an absolute blast! These lessons introduce students to water safety, confidence, and basic swimming skills, all while having fun and building lifelong habits.

A huge thank you to the incredible staff at the Thomasville YMCA for their patience, expertise, and encouragement as our youngest learners splashed into this important life skill. We are proud to offer swimming lessons as part of our Pre-K experience and grateful for this strong community partnership.

And the fun isn’t over yet— Jerger Elementary Pre-K students will kick off their swimming lessons in the coming weeks.

🎨✨ A Beautiful Evening Celebrating “Little Things” ✨🎨

What an incredible night at the “Little Things: Exceptional Students Uniquely Created Artwork” reception this past Thursday at the Thomasville Center for the Arts. Our community came together to celebrate the creativity, joy, and talent of our exceptional students—and the artwork on display truly spoke volumes.

From bold colors and thoughtful details to pieces filled with personality and heart, each work of art told a story and reflected the unique voices of our students. It was inspiring to see families, staff, and community members pause, connect, and celebrate the power of creativity and inclusion.

A heartfelt thank you to Friends & Stars, the Thomasville Center for the Arts, our teachers and staff, and everyone who helped make this exhibition and reception so special. Most importantly, congratulations to our amazing student artists—you are the reason this evening was so meaningful.

The exhibit will remain on display through May 12, and we encourage the community to stop by and experience these powerful “little things” that leave a lasting impact.

🏁🔧 An Exciting Day for Bulldog Innovation! 🔧🏁

Today, Thomasville High School students put their skills to the test during our Advanced Manufacturing Pilot (AMP) Pinewood Derby Car Race, applying engineering, design, and problem-solving skills in a real-world setting. Through our partnership with Georgia Tech, students are gaining exposure to advanced manufacturing concepts that reflect real industry practices and expectations.

Students designed, engineered, built, tested, and raced their derby cars using industry-standard tools, including Fusion design software, CNC machines, and 3D printers—developing skills in precision, data analysis, and iterative design along the way.

A special thank you to the Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) manufacturing staff for their assistance and expertise throughout this pilot experience. Their guidance and support played a key role in helping students refine their designs and think like engineers.

Today’s race provided valuable data and feedback, and now our students are ready to make adjustments, improve performance, and prepare for their next challenge. We’re excited to see our Bulldogs compete in two weeks against other advanced manufacturing programs in Bainbridge as they continue this innovative learning experience.

This work is a powerful example of our Bulldog +1 initiative in action, connecting classroom learning to real-world skills, meaningful partnerships, and future career pathways. We’re proud of our students, staff, and partners for creating opportunities that prepare Bulldogs for what’s next.
