We’re excited to celebrate Mrs. Monica Grace, who has been awarded a Community Foundation Grant to create a welcoming sensory room for students at Scott Elementary. 💛
This thoughtfully designed space will include weighted lap pads, fidget tools, tactile panels, noise-reducing features, soft lighting, and comfortable seating—providing students with a calm, supportive environment to help them reset, focus, and thrive.

We know the holidays often bring new electronics and devices—and we’re excited for our students to enjoy them outside of the school day! As we return to learning routines, we want to remind families that Thomasville City Schools follows a student phone policy during school hours, in alignment with Georgia Law HB 340.
🔒 Middle & High School:
Student phones and smart devices are secured in Yondr pouches for the school day, helping students stay focused, engaged, and present in their learning.
🏫 Elementary School:
Students follow school-based guidelines that align with state law and district expectations.
📞 Need to reach your child during the day?
Our school offices are always available to help connect families with students when needed.

🦒🚌 A Rewarding Day Before Winter Break
Just before Winter Break, Thomasville High School Bulldogs celebrated their hard work with a special field trip to the Jacksonville Zoo. Earned through strong behavior and academic effort, students enjoyed hands-on experiences like petting stingrays, feeding giraffes, and discovering new animals along the way.

Snow day fun came indoors for our Pre-K Bulldogs in Mrs. West and Ms. Norton’s classrooms at Scott Elementary, where hands-on “snow” activities sparked curiosity, creativity, and plenty of smiles. Through sensory play and simple experiments, our youngest learners are building foundational skills that last a lifetime.

During this season of giving, we are proud to share the results of Scholars Academy’s December Dollar Days 2025 Fundraiser in support of Love with Actions Academy in Rwanda, Africa.
Thanks to the generosity of students from MacIntyre Park Middle School and Scholars Academy, a total of $784.80 was raised to support students with disabilities at Love with Actions Academy. These funds will help provide resources for special needs students, nutrition programs, and latrine construction.
Earlier this fall, the school’s founder, Gilbert Kubwimana, visited Scholars Academy to share his mission of advocating for, educating, training, and empowering children with disabilities and their families — and to ensure every child is treated with dignity within their community.

• 7th Grade: $325.00
• 8th Grade: $176.80
🎉 Congratulations to the 7th grade for raising the most funds during the December Dollar Days fundraiser!
