We are so grateful for our partnership with the Thomas University softball team, whose players have spent time this year mentoring and investing in our students.
Recently, our Scott Elementary girls were invited to experience a game on the Nighthawks’ home field—and what a special day it was! From standing on the field during the national anthem to joining the pre-game chant and being recognized at the start of the game, it was an unforgettable experience. The team even treated them to lunch!
Moments like these highlight the power of mentorship and the impact of positive role models in our students’ lives.
Thank you to the Nighthawks for pouring into our Bulldogs—we appreciate you! 💙

Thomasville City Schools (TCS) is honored to announce that it has received the 2025 Achievement Award for a Contributing Addition to the Community, presented by Thomasville Landmarks Inc. This award recognizes excellence in new construction, rehabilitation, and landscaping that respectfully enhances the historic character of the Thomasville community. TCS was selected for the extensive work completed on the new Thomasville City Schools 6–12 Campus.
🏫Bridging History and Innovation
Located on the site of MacIntyre Park Middle School and the Scholars Academy, the new 6–12 Campus represents a vision of "seamless blending." In developing this state-of-the-art facility, school administrators worked diligently to ensure that new construction did not overshadow the site’s heritage.
"The Achievement Award for a Contributing Addition to the Community recognizes accomplishment in new construction, rehabilitation, and landscaping which respectfully brings positive improvement to the community’s historic character. Their goal of seamlessly blending new construction with heritage buildings has been fully accomplished."
🚀A Campus for the Future
By uniting 6th through 12th-grade students on one campus, the district has created a centralized hub for academic growth. The project’s success lies in its ability to offer modern, high-tech learning environments while preserving the architectural "soul" of MacIntyre Park.
📸Receiving the award for Thomasville City Schools is Director of Operations and Athletics, Jeremy Rayburn

Students in STEM with Ms. Tammy explored the life cycle of a plant, then put their learning into action by planting their own seeds.
Now comes the fun part—watering, sunlight, and watching their plants grow right alongside their understanding. 🌞💧
Hands-on experiences like this help bring learning to life and spark curiosity in our young learners.

Students in Mrs. Russo’s Anatomy & Physiology class recently took part in a hands-on lab, working to identify unknown substances through a simulated “crime scene” investigation.
Using chemical reactions, solubility tests, and observations of physical properties, students analyzed powders and over-the-counter medications to determine what each substance was—just like real-world forensic scientists.
Experiences like this connect classroom learning to real-world applications, giving students a deeper understanding of science and potential career pathways.
This is Bulldog +1 in action—preparing students with the skills and experiences needed for what comes next.

At this week’s Board of Education meeting, we proudly recognized Cece Myers, a Thomasville High School student-athlete whose leadership and heart are making a lasting impact.
After recognizing a need, Cece took action—organizing a fundraiser to ensure Special Olympics athletes received the recognition they deserve through letterman jackets. Thanks to her efforts, these student-athletes were recently honored and presented their jackets at a Thomasville High School baseball game.
Cece’s commitment to others reflects the very best of Bulldog +1—leadership, service, and making a difference. In addition to her impact off the field, Cece is also a standout softball athlete who has signed to continue her academic and athletic career at Hamilton College.
