Thomasville High School and Scholars Academy were proud to host Dr. Bernard Green from the University of Georgia during our second CTAE Networking Lunch. Dr. Green, who serves as the Director of Student Success and Advising in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, shared valuable insights about opportunities and careers with our students.
He also visited Mrs. Presha’s Early Childhood Education class, giving students a closer look at pathways in education and beyond.
This marks our 2nd CTAE Networking Lunch — with many more to come! We’re excited for these opportunities to connect students with schools, careers, and businesses both local and statewide.
We are grateful for partnerships like these that help our Bulldogs explore their futures and connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities. ❤️💛

Computer Science & Smart Manufacturing students at Thomasville High School and Scholars Academy are teaming up with Southern Regional Technical College to engineer and build Project OST-25 — a collaboration that blends classroom learning with real-world innovation.
This hands-on project is giving students real-world skills while creating a seamless bridge between their coursework at Southern Regional Technical College and our pilot Georgia Tech Smart Manufacturing curriculum — the perfect combination of classroom learning and industry experience.
It also showcases the power of the Bulldog +1 initiative, where students earn more than just a high school diploma — they gain college credits, workforce skills, and industry experience that prepare them for success beyond graduation.
We’re especially grateful to Cleaver-Brooks for their strong community partnership in this effort. By combining the expertise of our high school, Southern Regional Technical College, Cleaver-Brooks, and Georgia Tech, our students are gaining advanced skills that will propel their careers forward and strengthen our community.
✨ Stay tuned for updates on Project OST-25 and how our Bulldogs are building a brighter future — for themselves and for South Georgia!
