Our Scott Elementary 4th graders had the exciting opportunity to visit Southern Regional Technical College—and what a memorable experience it was! 🎓
They explored a variety of hands-on career pathways including radiology, early childhood education, auto mechanics, veterinary science, cosmetology, agriculture, and mechanical engineering. The visit sparked meaningful conversations and big dreams, with many students already imagining their future careers and college plans! 💭✨

🎖️ 2nd Annual THS AFJROTC Summer Camp Recap! 🚀
We wrapped up another incredible summer camp last week with our THS AFJROTC cadets—and what a jam-packed three days it was! 💪
💡 LIFE SKILLS: Cadets learned hands-on cooking basics from UGA’s Family & Consumer Science Agent, Ms. Olivia Tumlin.
✈️ STEM: Future aviators took to the skies with drone flight practice and tech exploration.
🤝 SERVICE: With hearts for giving back, our cadets donated over 3 hours of community service sorting and boxing food at Second Harvest Food Bank.
This camp was so fun, the cadets are ready for a second week! Thank you to all who helped make this possible! We’re proud of our cadets for stepping up as leaders, learners, and community servants.

🚀 Bulldog +1 STEM Camp – Final Recap! 🏭🎉
We closed out our first-ever Bulldog +1 STEM Camp with a powerful day of real-world learning and reflection.
Our students hit the road to explore STEM careers in action with industry tours at Checkmate Industries and Nichols Lures. From automation and precision engineering to product design and production, students saw firsthand how science, technology, engineering, and math fuel innovation and opportunity right here in our community. 🏢⚙️💡
Back at camp, we wrapped up with collaborative projects, reflection activities, and goal setting for future STEM exploration. Students left with more than new knowledge—they left inspired, confident, and excited about what's next.
We are so proud of what was accomplished this week and are thrilled to bring STEM Camp back next year—bigger and better! This is just the beginning as we continue building a strong foundation for our Bulldog +1 initiative in every grade.

🏫 Bulldog +1 STEM Camp – Day 4 Recap: A Real-World Look at the Future!
Last week, our students had the incredible opportunity to visit Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC)—and it was nothing short of inspiring!
From healthcare and engineering to computer science and manufacturing, students explored a wide range of high-demand career pathways. The highlight of the day was touring SRTC’s Smart Manufacturing Lab, where students got a firsthand look at how automation, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and precision systems are used in today’s cutting-edge industries. 🤖⚙️🔧
Students got hands-on demonstrations, and saw how the STEM concepts they’re learning now connect directly to exciting future careers. It was a powerful moment of realization: “This could be me one day.”
Experiences like these are what Bulldog +1 is all about—exposing our students to real opportunities and planting the seeds for success beyond the classroom.

Our young innovators rolled up their sleeves and dove headfirst into engineering challenges that tested their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills! 💡
Students worked collaboratively to plan, build, test, and improve their designs. Every project was a chance to think critically, experiment with materials, and bring ideas to life—true design thinking in motion! 🌉💨
These hands-on challenges not only sparked curiosity but also built confidence as our campers tackled real-world problems just like engineers do.
