Today, Mrs. Nicolay’s Literature students at Thomasville High School had the privilege of meeting bestselling author Shelby Van Pelt, whose debut novel, REMARKABLY BRIGHT CREATURES, is not only a New York Times bestseller but also a selection of the Read with Jenna Today Show book club. As part of our Thomas County One Book campaign, Mrs. Van Pelt shared her inspiring journey to becoming an author, detailing the challenges and triumphs she faced along the way. Her candid discussion about the writing process resonated deeply with our students, fostering a lively Q&A session that was both engaging and insightful. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shelby Van Pelt for her visit and for sharing her remarkable story. We hope she enjoys all that Thomasville, GA, has to offer during her stay!
