Thomasville City Schools is proud to partner once again with the Thomasville YMCA and Happy Helpings to help ensure all children have access to healthy meals this summer. Free meals will be available to children 18 and under from May 27 – July 18, 2025.
📍 Breakfast & Lunch will be served at multiple locations throughout Thomasville – including Harper and Scott Elementary Schools, as well as MPMS and THS.
🕗 Breakfast served between 7:30–8:45 AM
🕛 Lunch served between 12:00–1:00 PM (unless otherwise listed)
✨ No registration or ID is required. Just stop by and enjoy a nutritious meal!

📚✨ Saturday Spotlight: Literacy Training Success! ✨📚
This past Saturday, Thomasville City Schools proudly hosted a paid professional literacy training, funded through a literacy grant, for our daycare workers, Pre-K, and kindergarten teachers — and it was phenomenal! 🙌
With nearly 50 passionate educators in attendance, the training focused on implementing the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Curriculum in early childhood classrooms. Participants walked away energized, empowered, and excited to bring new strategies to life for our youngest learners! 🧠💡
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to those who made this valuable opportunity possible. Together, we’re building a stronger foundation for literacy, one child at a time. 💛🐾

This past week, Mr. Bryant’s class at Thomasville High School transformed into a full courtroom experience! 🏛️
Students stepped into real-world roles as Superior Court Judge Melanie Cross presided over the trial, while State Court Judge Mark Mitchell guided students through examining witnesses and swearing in jurors.
What an incredible, hands-on lesson in the legal system—bringing civics and justice to life! 🙌🐾
