We celebrated Dr. Scruggs 9 years (January 2016 - December 2024) of service on the Thomasville City Schools Board. As a trailblazing African American woman administrator, she has paved the way for many and continues to make a lasting impact on our schools and community.

Thomasville City Schools' STEM and Computer Science teachers recently participated in advanced training at Georgia Tech! 🌟 This hands-on experience included collaboration with Georgia Tech leadership, curriculum development, and an exclusive tour of the university’s cutting-edge advanced manufacturing facility.
This program is designed to expand scholarship opportunities, provide Thomasville City students with direct instruction from Georgia Tech faculty, and promote STEM literacy. We’re excited for the incredible opportunities ahead!

Kindness in action at MPMS! 🌟
Students in Mrs. Clark's 6th-grade ELA class at MacIntyre Park Middle School recently demonstrated incredible generosity and compassion! 💖 They took the initiative to collect canned goods for classmates in need and successfully gathered 11 bags of food, which were distributed to students at MPMS.

Thomasville City Schools will be closed Friday, January 24, due to continued hazardous icy conditions. All after-school activities are also canceled. The safety of our students, staff, and parents is our top priority.
Conditions are expected to improve over the weekend, and we plan to resume normal operations on Monday, January 27th.

🚨Important Weather Update🚨
Due to continued wintry weather conditions, Thomasville City Schools will remain closed on Thursday, January 23. The county-wide curfew has been extended until 8:00 AM Thursday. Icy road conditions continue to pose a safety concern, making travel unsafe for buses, staff, students, and parents.
Additionally, our HB581 hearing scheduled for January 23 will be rescheduled. The hearing on February 3 will proceed as planned.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates regarding the status for Friday, January 24.
