Upon graduation, he was selected to participate in the MQ-9A Reaper program. During a recent deployment, Capt. Hunnewell secured a flag on his aircraft during Operation Inherent Resolve and presented that flag to current cadets at Thomasville High School." 🎖️✈️

📜🚍 Jerger 5th Graders Explore Georgia History! 🚍📜
Many of our Jerger 5th graders and parents embarked on an unforgettable Georgia Studies trip from February 24-28, traveling across the state to experience history and government firsthand! ✨
🏛️ Day 1: Students toured Andersonville Cemetery, the Little White House in Warm Springs, and enjoyed a delicious Italian dinner at Maggiano’s in Buckhead.
🗳️ Day 2: The adventure continued with a visit to the GA Capitol building for a government lesson before heading to Dahlonega for lunch at The Smith House and exploring downtown. They also panned for gems, toured an underground coal mine at Consolidated Gold Mines, hiked Amicalola Falls, and wrapped up the day with dinner at The Varsity.
⚾ Day 3: Students got a behind-the-scenes tour of Truist Park, visiting training facilities, the dugout, and more before heading to Savannah. That evening, they explored River Street and ended the night with a fun ghost tour! 👻
🌊 Day 4: Students visited the First African Baptist Church for a powerful lesson from Ms. Karen, explored Savannah’s historic squares, and spent the afternoon at Tybee Island Marine Center learning about sea life. The day ended with a Georgia Dream dinner cruise, where they danced the night away! 💃🚢
🎖️ Day 5: The trip wrapped up with a visit to Old Fort Jackson, where students enlisted as Civil War soldiers, bringing history to life!
A huge thank you to teacher leaders Leah Kornegay and Jennifer McDougald, as well as GA Tour owners Preston Poitevint and Tommy Harrison, for making this trip possible. We also appreciate Board Member Ryan Bradburn for joining us on this incredible experience!

The Thomasville Police Department CSI Unit visited Mrs. Black & Ms. Swicord’s Kindergarten classes to help investigate some very suspicious leprechaun activity! 🕵️♂️🍀 Students got hands-on experience collecting evidence and dusting for fingerprints—just like real detectives! 🔎✨
