📰 Thomasville City Schools Featured in the Tallahassee Democrat

We are proud to see the exciting work happening in Thomasville City Schools and our community recognized in a recent Tallahassee Democrat opinion piece highlighting how the future of manufacturing and workforce development is taking shape right here in Thomasville.

The article shines a light on the strong collaboration between our schools, local businesses, and higher education partners, helping create meaningful opportunities for students.

At Thomasville City Schools, we believe in helping every student discover their interests and build a clear pathway for life after graduation. Through our Bulldog +1 initiative, every graduate leaves with a plan to be:

Enrolled in college or technical training
Enlisted in the military
Employed in a meaningful career

Partnerships with institutions such as Georgia Tech and Southern Regional Technical College continue to expand opportunities for our students through hands-on STEM experiences, career exploration, and workforce development programs that connect classroom learning with real-world careers.

The excitement around these opportunities extends beyond our classrooms and into the entire Thomasville community, where local businesses and organizations are helping open doors and support the next generation of leaders.

🎓 Career Connections College Tour Spotlight!

Our Career Connections students had an incredible opportunity to tour the Historically Black College, Albany State University! During the visit, students learned about admissions requirements, explored the variety of majors offered, and gained insight into the rich history and legacy of the university.

A special highlight of the day was running into two former Thomasville High School alumni, Evan and Tyler, who are now proud students at Albany State University! ✨

Students also had the chance to walk through the Black Wall Street Event, where they engaged with various campus groups and student entrepreneurs, experiencing firsthand the culture of leadership, innovation, and excellence on campus.

It was a day filled with learning, inspiration, and connection!
