Congratulations to our Middle School volleyball team on winning the first annual Area 1-A/AA Middle School Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. Coach Jackie King led the first year team to a perfect 7-0 record in area play. Way to go girls! Below is a group photo taken after the championship match.
This week the varsity Volleyball team wraps up regular season play with Senior Night on Thursday. The girls will then host the Area 1-A/AA tournament on Saturday. The girls are a perfect 8-0 in area play this season. Games will be played throughout the day beginning at 10 AM in both the THS and MPMS gymnasiums. Admission will be $10 for the entire day.
Varsity Softball will wrap up their regular season this week with 3 games. The game at Cook on Tuesday will determine where the team will finish in the region standings heading into the state playoffs.
Congratulations to the football team on their 41-7 Region 1-AA victory over Early County on Friday night. The Bulldogs (5-1; 1-0) had a great following in Blakely, led by the THS Marching Bulldogs, Red Hots, Dance Dawgs, Diamond Dawgs, and the Cheerleaders.
This week will be full of Homecoming festivities (see the 2 attachments) that will conclude on Friday night with the region game against Worth County. Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM and due to a new Region 1-AA policy, all tickets will be $10. Tickets will be sold online through Ticket Spicket beginning today and will be sold at the THS Dog Pen on Thursday and Friday from 10 AM - 2 PM.
