NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE

The Thomasville City Board of Education has tentatively adopted a 2026 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 4.54 percent.

All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearings on the tax increase to be held at the Thomasville City Board of Education, 404 N Broad St, FL-3, Thomasville, GA, 31792, on Tuesday, August 25 at 8:00 AM and at 6:30 PM. Times and

places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at the Thomasville City Board of Education, 404 N Broad St, FL-3, Thomasville, GA, 31792 on Thursday, September 3 at 5:00 PM.

This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 16.414 mills, an increase of 0.713 mills. Without this tentative increase, the millage rate will be no more than 15.701 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $275,000 is approximately $78.43/year and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $325,000 is approximately $92.69/year.
