Thomasville High School Achieves Record-High Graduation Rate of 90.8%
Thomasville City Schools is proud to announce that Thomasville High School has achieved its highest graduation rate to date—90.8%—for the 2024–2025 school year. This outstanding milestone surpasses the Georgia state average of 87.2%, as recently reported by the Georgia Department of Education.
“This achievement is a testament to the hard work and determination of our students, the commitment of our teachers and staff, and the support of our families and community,” said Dr. Scott Sweeting, Superintendent of Thomasville City Schools. “We are proud to see the collective effort of our Bulldog family reflected in this historic accomplishment.”
The graduation rate reflects years of intentional work at Thomasville High School and across the district. Efforts to strengthen academic support, expand advanced coursework, provide career pathways through the Bulldog +1 initiative, and build mentoring relationships have played a vital role in preparing students for success beyond the classroom.
“Graduating from high school opens doors to college, careers, and life opportunities,” said Bryson Daniels, Principal of Thomasville High School. “Reaching 90.8% is not just about a number—it represents the futures of our students and the investment our educators and community have made in them.”
Thomasville High School’s success underscores the district’s commitment to its mission: inspiring the best problem-solvers, innovators, life-long learners, and productive citizens of our community.
