NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE #2

The Thomasville City Board of Education has tentatively adopted a 2025 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 11.12 percent. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearings on the tax increase to be held at the Thomasville City Board of Education, 404 N Broad St, FL-3, Thomasville, GA, 31792, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 5:00 PM. This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 16.414 mills, an increase of 1.643 mills. Without this tentative increase, the millage rate will be no more than 14.771 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $250,000 is approximately $147.87/year and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $250,000 is approximately $164.30/year.
