Spelling Bee Winners to Advance to District Spelling Bee

MacIntyre Park Middle School and Scholars Academy held its annual Spelling Bee on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 in the MacIntrye Auditorium. All participants in the MPMS and Scholars Academy Spelling Bee won preliminary competitions at the classroom level. Two students from each elementary school and the middle school will participate in the Thomasville City Schools District Spelling Bee on January 10, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at the Thomasville City Schools Board Room.  Encyclopædia Britannica acknowledges the first place winner and runner-up for outstanding achievement in the 2019 - 2020 Scripps National Spelling Bee Program and awards each a free one-year subscription to Kids.Britannica.com.

MacIntyre Park Middle School and Scholars Academy Spelling Bee winners Tisha Kalra, first place and  Emma Gebel, runner-up battled back and forth for several rounds before Kalra won by spelling the word, therapeutic.
