-High School Yearbooks are currently on sale for the discounted price of $55 until October 22nd. If you need an order sheet, please see Mrs. Strausser in her classroom or Mrs. Felts in the front office. Orders can also be placed online.
-The swim team will hold an interest meeting today at 3:30 in the high school cafeteria. This will be for all middle school and high school students interested in joining the swim team this year.
-There will be a middle and high school book club meeting this Friday, September 24th in Mrs. Strausser’s classroom at 7:15am. See Mrs. Strausser for more information.
-There will be a Science Olympiad meeting in Mrs. Ariail’s room after school on Friday. This is open to all highschool students.
-Middle School Girl’s Basketball Tryouts will be Monday, September 27-Wednesday, September 29 from 5:00-6:30 in the MPMS Gymnasium. A current sports physical must be on file to tryout, gym clothes and personal water bottle are mandatory, no clothes will be given out during tryouts. Contact Coach Spivey in Room 146 at MPMS for more information. You may also email him or Coach Lee.
-Middle School Boy’s Basketball Tryouts will be Tuesday, October 5- Thursday, October 7th from 5:00-6:45 in the MPMS Gymnasium. You must have a current sports physical on file to participate in tryouts. Players must be on time, in the right clothing and shoes, and have a water bottle. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Moore in Room 208 at MPMS or email him.
-Tomorrow, the MS volleyball team will play Brooks County at 4:00, the MS Cross Country Team will compete in Pelham at 4:30, the softball team will play in Fitzgerald at 4:30, the 8th Grade football team will play at home versus Worth County at 5:00, the Competition Cheerleading Team will have their showcase at 6:30 in the MPMS Gymnasium, and the Volleyball team will play at home at 5:00 & 7:00.
-The PBIS team would like to congratulate the following teachers for being chosen as teacher of the month for August: for SA middle school - Casey Dyksterhouse, for SA high school - Alison Bundrick, and for THS - Coach Daryl Jones, Congratulations! Also, certificates will be handed out for the month of September by teachers who are looking for students who show responsibility! As a reminder students who receive these certificates will be added to a drawing in December for a $50 gift card!
