|Providing the light for successful student learning
Our vision is to provide appropriate educational support for students with disabilities, whether direct or indirect, that promotes active involvement as productive members of their family, school and community.
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) mandates that the Local Education Agency (Thomasville City Schools) locate and evaluate children, ages birth to 21, who are suspected of a disability and require early intervention or special education services. Child Find is a process that includes activities to identify, locate, and evaluate all children with disabilities, aged birth to 21, who are in need of early intervention or special education services.
