Kiwanis Club of Thomasville – Scholarships and grants awarded on the basis of academics, financial need, etc.  Applicants must have an 80 average to apply.  Includes (2) $250 grants and (1)  $1000 scholarship.

Thomasville Area Buffalo Soldiers Scholarship -  $500 scholarship awarded to a senior who plans to pursue postsecondary level work.  Academic performance, leadership, citizenship, need, and work experience are considered.  An interview may be required.

Thomasville Antiques Show Foundation Scholarship –$1000 awarded to a senior who demonstrates community service, extracurricular school activities, academic achievement, personal integrity and character, and financial need.

Georgia State United Auto Workers – Essay contest for seniors – 4 awards- Essay Topic “How Could The Election Affect Organized Labor’s Future?” – 300 –500 word length.

Mediacom Scholarship - A $500 scholarship awarded to a deserving student.  Must have at least a 3.0 GPA, good SAT/ACT scores, demonstrated leadership and financial need.   Requires a short essay.

Women’s Forum of Thomas County – Awarded to one Thomasville High School deserving young woman who is planning to attend a college, university, or technical college.

Charlie Ward Education Scholarship – Applicants must be members of FCA or be a basketball player, involved in other extra-curricular activities, have a 2.3 GPA, write a 250-word essay and provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher or pastor.

Rocky Ivey Memorial Scholarship – Scholarship awarded to worthy athletes.  Preference given to THS Varsity Football players, but participants in other varsity sports will be considered.  Merit and need based.

Community Bankers Association of Georgia – Julian and Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship – Merit based and designed to help deserving seniors.  The student must plan to enroll in a Georgia college.

Thomasville Arts Guild Scholarship for Artistic Excellence -$1000 Scholarship to a student planning to attend college and major in art, education, graphic art, art design, art therapy, photography, or any area in the visual arts.  Student must submit a minimum of three pieces of original art.  The selection is made by a panel of judges.

Atlanta Braves High School Scholarship Program- Merit based, 3.0 GPA required, a letter of recommendation from teacher, counselor or principal, list of extra curricular activities, and a 300 –500 word essay on “Why it is important to make your community a better place to live.”
