Computer Maintenance Tips

• Delete unneeded files in "My Documents."

• Run Virus Scan.

• Uninstall unneeded programs (games?):

Start -- Settings --- Add/Remove Programs -- scroll down list and click on unwanted programs and click on Remove button.

· Clean out Cache: My Computer -- C: -- Program Files -- Netscape -- Users -- Default -- Cache -- Drag box around all files EXCEPT the fat file -- Delete files.

· Scan Disk: Start -- Programs -- Accessories -- System Tools -- Scan Disk -- Start Scan.

· Disk Defragmentation: Start -- Programs -- Accessories -- System Tools -- Disk Defragmenter -- Click on C: drive -- start Defrag.

· Make backup copies on a floppy disk of any important documents: Open document -- File -- Save As -- Choose A: drive from the drop-down menu -- Name the file -- Save.

· Blow dust out with an air can.
