Biology is a required for graduation class in the life sciences.
Students will survey the characteristics of life, cellular biology genetics
ecology and other biology disciplines.
Biology is taught as a lab science with such skills as dissection and the
use of microscopes being taught. Lab procedures are part of
the learning experience and increases depth of understanding.
The class is taught as a college preparatory class and as a vocational class. Both classes are acceptable to the college seal, but the upper level is required for the seal with distinction.
