Dog of Distinction – Daniel Anders

                Through a heart-breaking overtime loss in Jefferson County last week, Daniel Anders proved himself to be a true kicker.

                Taking first blood, Anders made a fifty-yard field goal in the first quarter. The momentum gained from this kick drove the Bulldogs into a 17 to 17 tie at the end of the game to enter overtime. Without the kick, the Dawgs wouldn’t have even made it to the extra time.

                The kick was the longest in several years, nearing a Thomasville High Record kick of 52 yards set by Brent Garber. The kick sailed through the uprights and the crowd went wild. He especially outshined his opposing kicker, who missed an easy 27 and a longer 42.
