THS Receives Grant to Help Teach
Students to Make the Right Decisions
Thomasville High School recently received a $2,000 grant from
the Georgia Governor's Office of Highway Safety that will be used to
enhance the Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) organization.
The on-campus organization encourages students not to drink and drive or
do drugs among other things. Grant money will be used to buy supplies,
plan more activities, and help with the club's largest program, a Safety
Expo in April. SADD advisor, Barbara Peralta said "We want them to
just think about what they are doing so they realize what things could
change their life."
