The THANKS card fundraiser is a special discount card that has several purposes: 1) It saves the consumer money, 2) It encourages shopping and dining in our own unique community of Thomasville, and 3) It provides additional funds to the schools. The Thomasville City School System’s discount card comes with many money saving opportunities from unique community restaurants like Barberitos, Fallin’s and Jonah’s to businesses such as Magnolia Lane, Butler’s on Broad and Thomas Drug Store. There are a total of 41 businesses and restaurants on this year’s THANKS ticket and each business provided a special discount for the THANKS ticket card holder. The THANKS ticket has been a major fundraiser in the school system since 2008. The funds generated from the sales of the THANKS ticket, provides the schools with additional funds to purchase instructional supplies, technology, and special student and faculty incentives. The Thomasville City Schools appreciate the community support and encouragement. The competitive selling of the THANKS ticket will end on September 2 nd . However, anyone interested in purchasing a THANKS ticket may call or stop by any of the three city elementary schools – Jerger, Scott, Harper Elementary School or McIntyre Park Middle School at any time during the school year. The Thomasville City School System would like to provide a special thank you to Harper Paige, a 4th grader at Jerger, for allowing the city school system to feature her artwork on the 2016-2017 THANKS ticket!
