The
Lighthouse
Dark
clouds surrounded
Me today
I found myself between
The storm of the sea and the rocks of the bay
The lightning flashed
As I kneeled to pray
For protection and safety
Somehow, some way
I still
felt the rain
Coming down, down, down
The waves tossed my boat
All around
I felt helpless and homesick
For solid ground
And then I saw
A gleaming crown
No! A
crown it was not
What was it then?
Perhaps it was…
Yes, it was!
A beacon of light
Shining forth from the night!
It guided
my path
Across the sea
Back to the shore
Where I was free
It was his friendship
Shining just for me
Like the lighthouse I needed
And always it will be
